Directional Circulation Types

Figures 10-17 show mean daily surface level pressure, 500 hPa and 70 hPa charts for each of the directional Lamb circulation patterns. Table 3 summarises the important characteristics of each circulation type evident in the mean surface level pressure, 500 hPa and 700 hPa charts.
